Nintendo launched another Nintendo Direct just the other day and while they DID reveal a new Zelda game, it wasn't the typical Legend of Zelda game that we are all accustomed to playing. This new game is currently labeled "Hyrule Warriors" and will play more along the lines of Dynasty Warriors, Drakengard, and the likes of those games.
We only have Link footage right now and it needs a ton more polish, but the idea is sound and I'm honestly looking forward to this. I'm all over one-vs-army games like Dynasty Warriors, Drakengard, Drakengard 2, Bujingai, etc. Those games are tons of fun. And while the lineup of other heroes to choose from in the Zelda-universe is kinda slim, I don't doubt that Tecmo Koei will be able to establish a reasonable lineup with tons of diversity and great gameplay.

I was so excited when I saw this. I mean, we all know that Link (no matter which Link) is a freakin' bad ass, but he only ever really fights like, what? Maybe four dudes at once? Seeing him take on a whole HOARD of enemies just exemplifies his awesomeness. Add to that the whole HOST of weapons that Link usually gets, and you have the possibility for some really wicked combat (They show him using a magic staff at one point, which seems rad).
And really, the (probable) set up isn't that far fetched. I mean, yeah, most of the time Gannon/Gannondorf goes for the subtle, sneaky, "The general populace is unaware that anything's wrong until the last moment" plan, but after (various) Links foil those plans over and over and over, I can totally see the big bad going "Man, fuck this shit, lets just go lay siege to the goddess' damn castle."

Would be interesting if they decide to put Ganondorf as an unlockable (preferably not through DLC) character to play through as. Not very many one-vs-army games let you play the villain (as far as I know anyway), so that would be neat, especially since the G-Man himself has a huge arsenal as well.
