Reminds me of my old graphing calculator....
Man, I rediscovered the theory of relativity with that thing...
I like this avatar. I'm going to use it to create an original. Perhaps a self-sprite. But... my screen is way screwy dark and lacking contrast.

what? and wind up with distorted color when at angles??
or... have they fixed that in the new models?

Don't look at it at an angle then. There, easilly fixed. I do my spriting on an LCD screen and it's brighter and easier to see the distinction between the shades of pixels. >.>

what? and wind up with distorted color when at angles? Fuck, tell me about it >__> The one reason why I dislike flatscreen anything, and why I have a projection television and computer monitor. Also the one thing I completely hate about the DS.

Yar, I do my spriting... and most other things I do on the compy... leaning against this here bookcase filled with random old computer items and documents. Then there's the fact that this monitor's base is screwy and I'm too poor to get a new one and, and, and,....
Whew, I really needed that.
Fact of the matter is, most of my art's going to consist of stuff I've drawn and/or painted until I get a monitor that can show the difference between black and warm grey.

I have finally accomplished the ultimate achievement with my dwarf warrior. Level 51, though you can't see it at the moment, because he's earning rest in Ironforge.. But he is Exalted with all factions within the Alliance. I have a mount from every race, I am a GOD AMONG REP GRINDERS. And it feels wonderful.. ~Paragon

XD I pulled it off. I had in my head that I could do it before I hit level 50, but the roll-over from non-Gnome quests wasn't high enough. So I eventually bought some Runecloth and turned that in to finally hit it. XD
Also, on my dwarf's map.. Any zone that has been completely discovered, he has finished every quest there.. Here's a list:
Dun Morogh (Including Gnomeragan) Elwynn Forest (Including Stockades) Teldrassil Azuremyst Isle Loch Modan Westfall (Including Deadmines) Darkshore Bloodmyst Isle Wetlands Duskwood Ashenvale (Including Blackfathom Deeps) Arathi Highlands Stranglethorn Vale Stonetalon Mountains Hillsbrad Foothills Alterac Mountains Dustwallow Marsh Swamp of Sorrows (not inclusing the instance) Badlands (Including Uldaman) Thousand Needles The Barrens (Including Wailing Caverns, and both Razorfen Down and Kraul) Desolace (Excluding Maraudon) Tirisfal Glades (No Alliance quests, but the two for the Scarlet Monastary)
I'm currently working on Tanaris, Searing Gorge, and Un'Goro Crater. As well as running Zul'Farrak and Maraudon soon.
Sadly, the only problem with the rep grinding and finishing all quests, is that your gear REALLY begins to lack. At 49, I only had one thing of plate. And at 52, I only have three. Sad..

I'm going to start a webcomic based on what my players do in my new world. I'll be using it as a basis to help explain the workings of Anarden.
So, on the question of how I should update it (I'm thinking a two comics per week deal): 1) Should I create and upload each update when it's due out? 2) Should I create entire "chapters" (about a year's worth) at a time and upload them over time, on the two per week schedule?
Option 1 allows me to keep it flexible and edit the thing according to reader critique, but it also could wind up with erratic updates and lots of cheap gags that have nothing to do with the plot.
Option 2 keeps me safe from 1's downfalls, but it also reverses on 1's pros as well. It also seems to be the more stress-free version.
New options and opinions are liked... Seriously, guys, I gotta know how I should do this, since this is going to be my first long-running comic ever.

It's really all up to you. Make a schedule that works for you and just go with it. If something comes up, tell your audience that it's going to be a little late.
I would say.. Always have some extras available, in case of emergencies. So, have a good amount of comics on hand before you start. That way you won't have to make new ones on update day.

That sounds like the best option, since it's kinda in the middle tween the two.
So, should I keep, say, around 8 to 10 comics as backup? On this schedule, that means 4 to five weeks. I did the math, I don't have enough available days in a year to do three per week; what with school and all. Okay, then. I'll start working on the characters with my players. And maybe, I might have a chance to figure out a format that fits my style. I don't like small updates, so it's likely that I might wind up with a site format similar to Girly. The up-down stretch is far more preferable to the side-to-side stretch.
I sleep with the light on, so the BIG cockroaches won't come out.
...I'm gonna need a paypal account...

I favour the "buffer" method of comic scheduling. Worst case scenario, you have to use up your spares. Otherwise, you shouldn't have much stress. It all comes down to how many you have before you update your first comic. If you have a lot, you can go a long time and breeze at your own pace, though try not to be lazy. If you only have a few, there's still a bit of pressure to get comics done just to keep the buffer in tact.
Hell, what do I know? I haven't run a webcomic in years :P

... Do we need a front page for the forum, so people have something to come and look at as well as the forums. Because the forum is dead, again.
I ran out of things to post, because I'm busy with life. You other people to find something to add to the forum, so people will actually come here. Talk to your friends, have them join. It's not about spriting, it's just about having fun.

A front page...
Maybe our own, official comic? None of my rl friends are compatible with SP, they're not forum people. What we need is more attractions. I'lll start spriting again, if need be Plus, I can do reviews like crazy. (games, books, movies, television, people's actions, the like)
If we ever got affiliated with someone, that might help, too.

Holy god, thank you KJ. You just reminded me of what my old job was at my friend's forum. Reviews of games and movies. Perfect.
Should I make a whole new board for it, or just add it into the Gaming section of the forum?

I suppose it would depend on what kind of reviews one would want... I'd just add it to the Gaming section for now, and if people complain about it, they can have a section thrown in.
I suppose we're mainly centered on spriting, games, and this thread. Yeah, I just condensed the entirety of our random ramblings to "this thread" oh, cruel... on a sub conscious level, you were offended by it, and you know it.
...I was offended by it...
