Theft and plagiarism can be serious offenses in school, college, at work, in a career, etc. That means we will not deal with it any differently here.
Since this forum was originally created around people who were "big" into the spriting phenom, sprite theft was the original concern, but as all things do, Spriters Paradise was meant to evolve and adapt to changes over time, to bring new ideas and new people together to create a bountiful community of like-minded, creative individuals. Stealing other people's work, whether you take work from here to elsewhere, or bring works from somewhere else to here, is disruptive and corrupting to the community as whole.
This thread is an attempt to stem any sort of outbreak before it occurs, as it has had wont to do at many other spriting community forums.
Instead of giving them a wrist-slap, we're instead going to go straight for Zero Tolerance. From beginning to end, if you're caught stealing other people's work and claiming it as your own, you will be banned. No questions asked.
Any cases brought to the Spriters Paradise administration will be given careful scrutiny and we will attempt to uncover evidence to prove you innocent, but that is not how things always work out. If a case if filed against you, you will receive a notice and you will have no access to the Circle of Creativity board until your case is over, either by clearing your name or by being fully banned.
(This may seem like a non-Zero Tolerance policy, but we don't want to ban people accused simply because someone else states they've stolen, we will uncover the truth.)
Please follow the rules of this board and follow the moral high ground and only take credit for your own work, not the hard work that others have done.
This thread will not be left open for discussion as there will not be one. Stealing is wrong and you are not going to be able to finagle your way into convincing anyone that it isn't.
Thank you.
